Quality Engineer

Key responsibilities

Ø       Leading for all new color formulation, evaluation and lab extrusion trials and translating the new color from lab to manufacturing lines.

Ø       Guiding the manufacturing & QA team in trouble shooting.

Ø       Drive Color Xpress Service in INDIA region & report to SEA team.

Ø       Managing the team on ZSK 25 Twin screw Extruder in pilot plant & Injection Molding Machines for developing new color shades, micro lots and property matching

Ø       Lead development activities in the plastics compounding process to meet customer specifications.

Ø       Exposure in processing, development and launching of new products in different product segments as per customer requirements. Handled products like  PC /PBT / Modified PPO / PC –PBT / PC –ABS.

Ø       Undergone customer audits to get both certification & product approvals. (Legrand , Schneider, TAFE, Nokia, Samsung)

Ø       Handling of key customers like Nokia, Samsung and various Automotive customers in their various projects and successfully met all requirements on time to get commercial orders

Ø       Responsible for wing to wing activities through the color matching software (Color Xpress) Formtool, Linetool.

Ø       Ownership for formula management through OPTIVA –OPM11i (operation system), achieved defect free execution.

Ø       Co-ordinate with scheduler for maximum Recycling of byproducts, Sales return and obsolete stocks, without compromise on quality/color and achieved recycled usage of @ 80% of total recycle generated.

Ø       Analyze the Root Cause for Customer Complain, Making RCCA and its implementation

Ø       Drive RFT initiatives for improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY).

Achievements

Ø       CEO reorganization for

v      Quick color matches for Havells– One of the India’s largest manufacturers of wiring devices and electrical accessories.

v      Performed excellent team work for low cost Tablet PC under Government of India “Sakshat” project which plans to link 25000 Collages and over 4000 Universities for e-learning.

Ø       Awarded for

i)                    Tata Motors X2 Interior Project, meeting stringent Styling needs in 2010.

ii)                  Developing New Color meeting Difficult styling needs of M&M, Force Motors in 2011.

iii)                Deliver 64 Color Match request & Micro lot Samples to Nokia/ Samsung in 2008.

Ø       Involved in more than @ 70% of new color matching including translation from various region in India Plant. (#2000 New Color No.)

Ø       Developed the CIC dashboard for India

Ø       Got CMR Hit Rate of 37.2% -Highest in Pacific.

Ø       For Baroda Sheet Extrusion plant-  total 9.0 different color shade Master Batch established.

Ø       Completed Color Album with more than 350 colors for India Commercial Team

Six Sigma

Ø       Successfully completed following three Projects using Six Sigma approach.

v      Translated Project for Solvent Yellow Pigment RMC-147 replacement

v      Resolved Customer Complaint in Lexan 500R-4300299

v      TCO Project –Reuse of PBT Glass filled regrind.
